Artisan description
Bidi Bidi, Uganda – one of the world’s largest refugee resettlement areas. Bidi Bidi is home to over a quarter-million people, and 87% of them are women and children.
The ability to maintain personal hygiene is key for these women and children as they rebuild their lives, but it is extremely difficult to find soap and sanitary products in the refugee camp.
ONE SHIRT SOLD = ONE KIT DONATED
Our Basic Needs Kits are helping in more ways than one. We have partnered with a co-op of women in the refugee area to create and distribute these kits. Not only will these kits help create economic sustainability, but they will also connect working refugee women to other women and children—enabling them to help others while helping themselves.
